This shift represents a commitment to reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.

Nestlé Works with Local Governments

Nestlé demonstrates its commitment to sustainability by collaborating closely with local governments and municipalities to enhance waste management systems and promote recycling practices. Through partnerships with municipal councils such as Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya, Majlis Bandaraya Diraja Klang, and Alam Flora Environmental Solutions, Nestlé’s initiatives have reached approximately 184,000 households across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. Recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme and Malaysia’s Ministry of Environment as a best practice, Nestlé’s pioneering efforts advocate for source separation within communities. Expanding its reach beyond urban areas, Nestlé launched pilot projects in suburban regions, including Shah Alam, and implemented door-to-door recyclable collection systems.

By understanding the full impact of waste, we can take steps toward a more sustainable future.
